How guides are written
Fees, rules and policies come from primary sources: airline contracts of carriage and fare rules, US Department of Transportation regulations, EU regulations and the companies' own pricing and help pages. Each guide links the source in the sentence that uses it and carries the date it was last updated. Prices that move are dated to the month they were checked.
